The editor at a glance
A tour of the Superbloo editor: media, timeline, preview, properties, the agent panel and the left rail.
Superbloo edits video with you: a full timeline editor, an AI agent, and one-click captions, sound and graphics, on the web or on your Mac. This page is a tour of the editor's regions and panels so you know where everything lives.
The Superbloo editor has four regions: a left rail of panels, the preview, the timeline and the Properties inspector. The agent lives in the Agent panel on the rail, or pinned beside the preview in the Agent layout.
How is the editor laid out?
The editor is split into four regions that you can resize by dragging the handles between them.
- Left rail and tool panel: a column of icons. Click one to open its panel beside the rail; click again to collapse it.
- Preview: the program monitor, with a transport bar under it for play, shuttle and timecode.
- Timeline: tracks and clips along the bottom, with the tools, snapping, markers and zoom in its toolbar.
- Properties: the inspector on the right for whatever is selected, or the composition settings when nothing is.
The Editor layout toggle in the top bar switches how the agent is placed:
- Classic: tools on the left, Properties on the right, the agent as one of the panels.
- Agent: Bloo pinned open beside the preview; Properties moves onto the rail.
Press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) for the command palette. Type any action, such as "Open Captions", "Add marker at playhead" or "Undo", and run it. See Command palette.
What does each panel on the left rail do?
Each icon on the rail opens one panel. Here is what they hold.

What does the preview do?
The preview shows the timeline at the playhead and lets you arrange clips directly in the frame.
Click a clip in the preview to select it and drag it into position; text is edited in place. The transport bar plays, pauses, shuttles and shows the timecode. A source monitor can show one media asset on its own so you can set an in and out point before adding it to the timeline. See Preview and source monitor.
How does the timeline work?
The timeline holds your tracks and clips, and its toolbar holds the tools, snapping, markers and zoom.
The shortcuts to learn on day one:

Cmd is Ctrl on Windows. Snapping is a toggle in the toolbar, and a roll edit is Alt+drag on an edit point. Shortcuts are ignored while you type in a text field. Start with Timeline basics; the complete list is in Keyboard shortcuts.
What is in the agent panel?
The agent panel is where you talk to Bloo. It has a message feed, a composer with a mode picker (Ask, Plan, Agent), attachments and a credits counter for the session.
- Ask answers questions about your footage and edit without changing anything.
- Plan proposes a plan you approve before anything is touched.
- Agent makes the edit.

Where do notifications go?
The bell in the header (Activity) collects notifications: uploads finishing, footage understanding completing, exports, and when the agent is waiting for you. Toasts that appear briefly are kept there too.
