Superbloo for Claude
Claude Code can now edit entire videos end to end with Superbloo — cuts, captions, graphics, color, sound and export, on a real timeline.
The short answer
Yes. Claude cannot edit video files on its own, but connected to Superbloo it can. Superbloo gives Claude the tools of a professional editor — timeline, transcripts, footage search, captions, color and audio — so Claude cuts, captions and finishes real projects. Run Claude Code inside Superbloo on your Claude subscription, or connect Claude Desktop or Claude Code over MCP.

Key facts
How it works
Real edits on a real timeline — every one of them reviewable and undoable.
Describe the edit in plain English: the runtime, the tone, what to keep and what to cut.
Claude Code is editing
It reads transcripts and footage analysis, then cuts, captions, grades and mixes with Superbloo's tools.
Every change is a real, undoable edit attributed to Claude. Keep it, tweak it by hand, or ask for another pass.
Why it works
Claude is great at the judgment side of editing — finding the story in a transcript, choosing what to keep. Superbloo gives it the missing half: a real timeline it can actually cut.
Claude is good at the parts of editing that are really about language and judgment: reading an hour of transcript, finding the three answers that carry an interview, deciding what order a story should run in, and writing the on-screen text that goes with it. What it lacks on its own is a way to touch the footage. Ask a plain chat window to edit a video and the best it can do is write an ffmpeg command or a script and hope the timestamps are right.
Superbloo supplies the missing half. It is a full AI video editor — multi-track timeline, transcription, footage analysis, captions, color, audio and export — that exposes every editing action as a tool Claude can call. Claude reads the timeline and the transcript, decides what to change, and Superbloo applies each change as an ordinary edit you can see land, inspect and undo. You stay the editor; Claude does the tedious and the time-consuming.
Under the hood
Claude reads what Superbloo knows about your footage — transcripts, shots, faces — then edits with Superbloo's tools. Every change lands on the timeline as one undoable step.
There are two ways to put Claude to work in Superbloo, and they reach the same tools. The fastest is inside the app: in the Superbloo desktop app, open the Agent panel, choose Claude Code, and sign in with the Claude subscription you already pay for. Claude then answers your briefs in Superbloo's own composer, right next to the timeline, and Superbloo gives it its editing tools and nothing else.
The second way keeps you in the Claude client you already use. Superbloo runs an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server — an open standard Anthropic introduced so AI assistants can use outside tools. Add Superbloo to Claude Desktop with a one-click install, or to Claude Code with one terminal command, and Claude can list your projects, open one and edit it while you watch the changes arrive in Superbloo.
In both cases Claude works from what Superbloo already knows about your footage. Every clip is transcribed and analysed on import, so Claude can search for a moment in plain words, see who is on screen, read what was said with exact timings, and look at rendered frames before and after a change. It does not have to guess at a timestamp; it asks.

Setup
Option A needs nothing installed by hand. Option B is for tools you already run, like Claude Desktop or Claude Code or Cursor.
No setup, no terminal. Claude's reasoning runs on your Claude subscription; Superbloo handles the rest.
Sign in and open a project.
In the Agent panel's selector. It installs itself.
Or reuse the Claude Code login already on your Mac.
Type it in the composer and watch it land.
Keep working where you already are. Superbloo generates the setup for you under Settings → Connected agents.
One-click install from the Superbloo desktop app.
One terminal command, on web or desktop.
claude mcp add --transport http superbloo <endpoint> --header "Authorization: Bearer <token>"If you drive Claude models from Cursor.

}Connectors for Claude on the web (claude.ai) are coming. Until then, use Claude Desktop, Claude Code or the in-app option. On the web, keep the project open in a tab while the agent works; on desktop, Superbloo can stay in the background. Open Superbloo on the web.
Why Superbloo
A script is fine for one trim. For a real edit, Claude needs to see what it's cutting.
Claude alone: Only what you paste in; it cannot watch or hear the files.
With Superbloo: Transcripts, shot detection, faces and on-screen text for every clip.
Claude alone: Timestamps you supply or it guesses.
With Superbloo: Word-level timings, checked against rendered frames.
Claude alone: Re-render the whole file and scrub it yourself.
With Superbloo: See each edit land on the timeline; undo any single step.
Claude alone: Separate tools and filter chains for each.
With Superbloo: One timeline with captions, motion graphics, grading and mixing built in.
Claude alone: A script and an output file.
With Superbloo: A normal project you or a colleague can keep editing, or export to Final Cut or Premiere.

Choosing
Just editing? Use Claude Code inside Superbloo. Live in Claude Desktop? Connect it. Scripting batch jobs? Use Claude Code in your terminal.
If you want to edit and nothing else, use Claude Code inside Superbloo. It needs no setup, it sits next to the timeline, and it only ever sees Superbloo's editing tools, so it stays focused on the video.
If you already live in Claude Desktop, connect it over MCP. Claude can then edit a video in the same conversation where you drafted the script or the show notes.
If you script your work, use Claude Code in your terminal. It can batch jobs — a short from every episode in a folder, the same intro on ten projects — and combine Superbloo with your other tools.
Pricing
Claude's thinking runs on your Claude plan and timeline edits are free. Credits only go to generation, always with your approval for video.
Claude's thinking is paid for by your Claude plan. Superbloo does not charge credits for Claude reading your project or making timeline edits, and motion graphics Claude writes itself are free too. Superbloo credits are spent only on generation (images, video, voice, music, sound effects) and, on the web, on cloud work such as captions and exports; the Mac app runs those locally at no credit cost.
You stay in control of spending. Image generation stops for your approval unless a daily budget you set covers it, video generation always asks, and each connected client has its own spend permission, daily budget and per-call limit that you can change or revoke at any time. Claude can never delete a project, remove media that clips still use, or spend credits without that permission.
FAQ
Subscriptions, setup, costs and what the AI can and cannot do. Anything else — ask us directly.
Yes, when it is connected to a video editor that gives it tools. On its own Claude can only read text and images and write code. Connected to Superbloo, Claude can open projects, read transcripts and footage analysis, and make real timeline edits — cuts, captions, graphics, color, audio and exports.
Yes. Choose Claude Code in Superbloo's Agent panel and sign in with your Claude account; Claude's reasoning runs on your subscription. Superbloo's credits are only used for generation and cloud rendering, never for Claude's thinking.
No. The in-app option needs neither: pick Claude Code in the Superbloo desktop app and sign in. MCP is only for connecting a Claude client you run yourself, such as Claude Desktop or Claude Code in a terminal.
Yes. In the Superbloo desktop app, go to Settings → Connected Agents, turn on external agents and click Install in Claude Desktop. Approve the pairing the first time Claude connects.
Not yet. Connectors for claude.ai are coming. Today you can use Claude Code inside Superbloo, Claude Desktop, or Claude Code in your terminal.
Claude sees what Superbloo shares through its tools: transcripts, footage analysis, timeline data and rendered frames it asks for while editing. Your media files stay in your Superbloo workspace, or on your Mac for local projects.
Reading and editing the timeline cost no Superbloo credits, and Claude's reasoning runs on your Claude plan. Generating images, video, voice or music spends credits, and on the web so do captions and exports; the Mac app runs those locally for free.
Yes. Each edit Claude makes is a single undo step, attributed to Claude in the history, so you can reverse any change or restore an earlier version of the timeline.
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard introduced by Anthropic that lets AI assistants use external tools and data. Superbloo runs an MCP server so Claude and other assistants can operate its video editor.
